Dear SONQO Community,

Have you ever planted something and then forgotten about it? Not because you didn't care. But because life took over. And then, months later, you returned – and found that something had grown. Something you had not expected. Something that did not wait for your attention.

This is what has happened with our Jungle Care project.

Since March, the land in Pucallpa has been quietly doing its work. Not loudly. Not dramatically. But steadily. The burnt soil has begun to soften. The first plants have returned. The trees are sending roots deeper than before. The invisible web of fungi, bacteria, and life beneath the surface has started to rebuild itself.

This is not a story of quick results. It is a story of patience. Of trust. Of the land remembering what it means to be alive.

What Has Grown Since March

When we began this year, we had a vision. Not a plan. A vision. A field of regeneration where cacao, forest, and community could grow together. Where the old wounds of exploitation could begin to heal.

And something has indeed grown. Not only in the soil. In the relationships. In the learning. In the exchange between Cusco and Pucallpa. In the families who now walk the same paths their grandparents walked – but with new knowledge, new dignity, new hope.

The syntropic systems are emerging. The food forest is beginning to take shape. The education programs are gaining momentum. And the cacao – the wild Chuncho cacao – continues to thrive, rooted in biodiversity, not monoculture.

The Cacao Course – October 22–25, Buddhas Weg, Weinheim

This is not just a course. It is an invitation to see what has grown – not only in the jungle, but in yourself.

Over four days, you will learn the ancestral methods of preparing ceremonial Cacao. You will understand the difference between wild Chuncho and hybrid varieties. You will discover how to hold space for yourself and others in ceremony. And you will see, with your own eyes, the living reality of Jungle Care.

You will not only learn. You will participate. You will become part of the circle that holds the forest – and the forest will become part of you.
