SEEDTIME
Share
Dear SONQO Community,
Have you noticed how spring doesn't arrive all at once?
First, a single crocus pushes through the frozen ground. Then another. Then, almost imperceptibly, the entire hillside is covered in color. The trees don't burst into full foliage in one dramatic moment. They begin with tiny buds, barely visible, slowly swelling in the sun.
This is the wisdom of SEED_time.
The Myth of Overnight Transformation
We live in a culture that loves the "before and after." The dramatic reveal. The instant result. We scroll through images of people who seem to have completely transformed and ask ourselves: Why not me? Why is my change so slow?
But nature doesn't work that way. And neither do we.
The seed does not become a tree in one day. First, it must soften in the darkness of the earth. It must absorb water, break open its protective shell, send out the tiniest root – invisible to anyone watching. For weeks, perhaps months, all the real work happens beneath the surface.
This is SEED_time. And spring invites you to honor it.
The Small Daily Choice
Think of how a child learns to trust the world. Not through grand lessons, but through small, repeated moments of safety and warmth. The gentle hand that returns again and again. The predictable rhythm of morning light. The simple, reliable presence of care.
That is how trust grows. That is how love deepens. And that is how your practice grows, too.
The small daily choice – to orient yourself toward the light, to return to presence, to prepare your cup of cacao with intention – this is the work of SEED_time. In the moment, it feels insignificant. Another morning. Another sip. Another breath.
But this is exactly how roots grow.
What SEED_time Asks of You
In these early spring weeks, we invite you to release the pressure of "big results." Instead, ask yourself:
🌱 What one small choice can I make today that honors my longing for connection?
🌱 Where can I soften a little, instead of pushing?
🌱 What practice feels so simple that it would be impossible for me to fail at it?
This last question is the secret. When the seed is too small to be seen, it is also too small to fail. It is simply there, doing its invisible work in the darkness.
The Rhythm That Holds You
SEED_time is not about discipline. It is about rhythm.
Discipline says: "I must do this, or I will fail."
Rhythm says: "I return to this again and again because it feels like coming home."
Your cacao practice in these spring weeks is not another task on your to-do list. It is the rhythm that holds you while the real work happens beneath the surface. The warmth of the cup in your hands. The quiet moment before the day claims you. The word you whisper to your heart before the first sip.
This is enough. This is SEED_time.
Your Invitation
If you feel the call to deepen this rhythm – to let your small daily choices be held by something greater – come join our Munay Meditation Circle. Together, we practice returning again and again to the simple presence that makes all growth possible.
With patience for your own unfolding,
Your SONQO Heart
