TRINKE WILD

DRINK WILD

Dear SONQO Community,

Have you ever tasted something and known – instantly – that it was different? Not just in flavor. In presence. In the felt sense that this was not produced, but born.

This is what it means to drink wild. Not wild as in chaotic. Wild as in untamed. As in connected to its origin. As in carrying the memory of the forest, the hands that harvested it, the sun that dried it. Wild as in alive.

The Quiet Loss We Don't Notice

Most of what we consume today has been stripped of its story. We eat, drink, buy – and we have no idea where any of it came from. We have become disconnected from the sources that sustain us. Not because we don't care, but because the system was designed to make us forget. Convenience over consciousness. Speed over depth. Efficiency over reverence.

Cacao is no exception. What is sold as "ceremonial grade" in many places is often a marketing label, not a living reality. Hybridized. High-yield. Grown in monocultures that deplete the soil and drain the spirit. Processed with speed and heat, sacrificing the delicate intelligence of the plant for the sake of production.

The Taste of Integrity

But when you hold a cup of true, wild Cacao, something shifts. Not just in your mouth. In your whole being.

This is Cacao that remembers. It remembers the ancient trees it came from, untouched by hybridization. It remembers the biodiverse forest where it grew, surrounded by other plants, birds, insects, and the invisible web of mycorrhizal fungi. It remembers the hands that harvested it – families who walk the same paths their grandparents walked, carrying the same prayers. It remembers the open sky under which it fermented. The sun that dried it, slowly, patiently.

This is not a product. This is a relationship.

What It Means to Know Your Cup

To drink wild is to choose integrity over convenience. To choose connection over consumption. To choose to know where your Cacao comes from – and to care.

It means recognizing that every cup is an act of participation. With the earth that grew it. With the farmers who tended it. With the plant itself, which offers its medicine not as a commodity, but as a gift.

It means understanding that the taste of Cacao is not just flavor – it is memory. The memory of soil, rain, and sun. The memory of time and patience. The memory of people who chose dignity over exploitation.

The Gift of Remembering

When you drink wild Cacao, you are not just nourishing your body. You are remembering. Remembering that you are part of a living web that spans continents and generations. Remembering that the source of your nourishment is not a supermarket shelf, but the earth itself. Remembering that your choices have consequences – and that choosing consciously is a form of prayer.

This is what it means to drink wild. Not as a trend. As a return.

The Invitation – Pachamama Raymi

This August, we invite you to experience Cacao in its wild, untamed integrity not just in a cup, but in ceremony. In community. In the spirit of Pachamama Raymi – the ancient celebration of honoring the Earth.

Across Switzerland and Germany, we gather to remember, to give thanks, and to open our hearts together in the spirit of Munay.

Raymi – August 2026:

8 August – Buddhas Weg
22 August – Bern
23 August – Zurich

Each gathering is a chance to come together, to open without burning out, to celebrate without collapsing. Come as you are. Bring your heart.

PS: Before you arrive, place your hand on your heart and take three slow breaths. The ceremony begins with you.

With gratitude for every conscious choice you make,
Your SONQO Heart
