Dear SONQO Community,
Has anyone ever told you: "You should attend a ceremony" – and you smiled, knowing it was not about entertainment, but about something deeper you could not name?
What if the ceremony is not about receiving something, but about remembering what you have always known? Not about being impressed, but about arriving. Not about collecting experiences, but about recognizing that the most important gift was never outside you.
It was always within you, waiting to be uncovered.
The Original Gift
Before you learned to prove yourself. Before you learned to earn love, to deserve rest, to deserve joy. Before all of that, there was something simpler. A wholeness that asked nothing of you. A belonging that was not conditional. A knowing that you were enough – not because of what you did, but because you existed.
This is the Original Gift. Not given by any teacher or tradition. It is your birthright as a living being. The memory of this wholeness may have faded, but it has never disappeared. It is simply waiting. Patiently. Silently. For you to turn toward it again.
Why We Forget
Life has a way of covering things over. Responsibilities. Expectations. The endless noise of needing to be more, do more, have more. The Original Gift gets buried under layers of "should", "must", and "not yet".
We begin to believe that connection is something we have to create. That peace is something we have to achieve. That love is something we have to earn. But this is not true. Connection, peace, love – they are not products of effort. They are what remains when effort falls away.
This is why we gather. Not to add something new. But to remove what is in the way.
A Circle That Calls You
A circle is not a classroom. It does not teach you anything you do not already know. A circle is a mirror. It reflects back what you have forgotten. The silence of others helps you hear your own silence. Their presence helps you feel your own presence. Their willingness to be seen gives you permission to be seen as well.
This summer, we invite you not only into the circle of ceremony, but also into the circle of shared action – as part of the SONQO team at the festivals we attend.
SONQO is Looking for Festival Helpers
You will serve Cacao, share the SONQO story, help with setup and teardown – and still have time to experience the festivals themselves. Be part of the team, spend the day with Cacao, and breathe in the festival atmosphere.

Pacha-Mama Cacao – Heart Opening in the Mirror of Nature
A day in nature. A cup of Cacao in your hands. And an invitation to come closer to your own heart. This event combines the power of ceremonial Cacao with the stillness of nature – for all who long for deep connection, mindfulness, and genuine heart moments.
