Cacao makes you happy – and a handful of raw cacao beans is also beneficial for low moods, stress, or cravings. This is partly due to the alkaloid salsolinol, which is found in natural cacao. When consumed, the brain releases dopamine, often called the "happiness hormone." Cacao also contains the amino acid L-tryptophan, which your body converts into serotonin. Serotonin promotes inner calm and is said to counteract stress. The secondary plant compounds called flavanols enhance concentration. The high magnesium and iron content makes cacao a popular choice during menstruation.
SONQO's roasted cacao beans (400g) impress with their distinctive aroma; through fermentation and drying in the open air and under the natural warmth of the sun, as well as gentle roasting, the cacao bean develops its characteristic nutty-fruity superfood taste.

Wild and powerful – straight from the jungle
Chuncho means "wild" in Quechua. This original and resilient cacao variety doesn't grow on plantations, but in the wild, surrounded by intact biodiversity. As a result, it contains an immense amount of nutrients. Its high quality is also due to the natural sun-drying and the traditional fermentation process.
Pachamama Cacao is a purely natural product. The resilient Chuncho beans are cultivated without chemicals or genetic modification. Unlike hybrid varieties, which are harvested several times a year, Chuncho Cacao can only be carefully wild-harvested once a year, following its natural cycle.
Warning: Do not consume Pachamama cacao beans excessively! The recommended daily amount is 4 to a maximum of 8 Pachamama cacao beans, for example, as part of a healthy breakfast.
