Is cacao healthy? +

Yes, cacao is healthy because it contains many important and valuable ingredients:
Antioxidants promote cardiovascular health and regulate blood pressure.
Magnesium strengthens the health of the heart muscle, reduces stress, and has a detoxifying effect.
- Theobromine has a stimulating effect on the circulatory system.
- other important minerals such as iron, potassium and calcium
- Vitamins of groups B, C and E

Furthermore, cacao has a mood-boosting effect, as it stimulates the body to release endorphins and serotonin. Its high magnesium and iron content makes cacao a popular choice during menstruation.

Is it good to drink cacao every day? +

Generally, yes. Most healthy adults can consume 15-25g of cacao daily and thus optimally benefit from its antioxidant effects and many healthy ingredients. Try it yourself and start each day for a week with a delicious Pachamama Cacao.

Can I drink cocoa in the evening? +

It's generally possible to drink cacao in the evening. However, cacao typically has a strong stimulating effect while simultaneously being calming and relaxing. Therefore, cacao beginners should ideally drink their cacao in the morning. With more experience, you can enjoy it at any time of day or night. It's important to listen to your body and remember that the effect also depends on your intention and how you're feeling that day.

Why does cacao make you happy? +

Cacao's ability to make you happy is due to its ingredients – especially the alkaloid salsolinol. This promotes the release of dopamine in the brain, often referred to as the "happiness hormone." Cacao also contains the amino acid L-tryptophan, which the body converts into serotonin. This neurotransmitter affects both our nervous system and our circulatory system. Serotonin gives the body a sense of inner calm and is said to counteract stress.

Is it safe for me to drink cocoa during pregnancy? +

Yes, you can safely drink cocoa during pregnancy. The many healthy ingredients can even have a positive effect on the pregnancy. However, due to increased sensitivity, you might need to reduce the amount from 20g per cup (200ml) by about half. It's best to listen to your body and find the right amount for you.

Is Pachamama Cacao a raw cacao? +

Raw cacao is not heated above 42 degrees Celsius during the liquefaction process. Pachamama cacao was heated 2 degrees higher. Therefore, it is not raw cacao.
Nevertheless, Pachamama Cacao is a "ceremonial cacao" because no fat or cacao components have been removed and nothing added. Furthermore, holistic standards were observed during cultivation and harvesting. This means not only ecological and social, but also spiritual sustainability. It's about being in Ayni (harmony, balance) with the earth, the ancestors, and all beings.

Can people with diabetes drink cocoa? +

Yes, pure cocoa is generally well-suited for diabetics. Pachamama cocoa contains no added sugar and is naturally low in fructose. Therefore, diabetics can enjoy Pachamama cocoa without any problems. However, if you are still unsure, it's best to consult your doctor.
