Sacred wood is believed to have the ability to transform intense energies, dissolve destructive structures, and restore the space to its natural purity.
Palo Santo grows in the arid desert of Peru. Sometimes it doesn't rain in the region for several years. Mature trees are about 15 meters tall and have almost no leaves. This makes the high resin content of naturally growing Palo Santo all the more remarkable.
Compared to other products such as incense sticks, Palo Santo has the great advantage that you can completely fill a room with it, then open the windows for a moment, and the scent won't linger. After the incense ritual, rooms feel free of stagnant energies and refreshingly neutral.
In recent years, resinous desert wood has become increasingly popular. This makes it all the more important to pay attention to good quality and a certified product.
SONQO sources its Palo Santo not from the numerous middlemen, but directly from strictly controlled communities who still harvest the wood in the traditional way. This means that after about 6-8 years, the trees naturally shed branches, which then fall to the ground and are collected. Felling trees or sawing off branches is strictly forbidden.
Application: To burn palo santo as incense, light a stick with a lighter, let it burn for a moment, and then gently fan the flame out. This will cause the palo santo wood to smoke, and the smoke will disperse the essential oils throughout the room. Clay bowls, decorative seashells, or even large stones are suitable as incense burners.
