SONQO's ceremonial rattles are crafted from gourds and feature animal and plant motifs: the condor, the jaguar, the snake, the hummingbird, and medicinal plants from the Amazon, finished with colorful cotton threads and feathers gathered from Amazonian birds. Because they are handmade, your rattle may vary slightly from the photo.
With two projects in the city of Pucalpa in the Amazon region, SONQO promotes syntropic farming – a form of agriculture in which crops thrive within their intact biodiverse environment (syntropic jungle care). Furthermore, all SONQO projects aim to consistently integrate Peruvian women farmers into training and decision-making processes. SONQO's non-profit projects pursue both ecological and social goals.

Which projects connect SONQO with Pucalpa?
SONQO has commissioned a local farming family in Pucalpa, Peru, to manage the project to reforest 30 hectares of burned wasteland in accordance with Syntropic Jungle Care principles.
In Pucalpa, another 80 hectares of land are available. The plant life, animal life, and mineral resources form an intact biodiversity. This part of the Amazon serves as a research area for other projects focused on respectful and mindful syntropic farming.
How are SONQO's rattle prices determined?
SONQO strives for a circular economy and win-win-win solutions at all levels. All stakeholders, including the environment, should benefit from this collaborative effort. Therefore, it goes without saying that price-reducing mechanisms such as intermediaries are excluded.
Why does SONQO sell Shipibo products?
SONQO offers programs for preparing for and/or integrating Ayahuasca rituals. With SONQO, you can travel to the Amazon after careful planning and preparation to experience rituals firsthand.
Why do SONQO products not have any labels or certificates?
SONQO is committed to a holistic lifestyle and avoids certificates and labels because they only ever consider partial aspects of a holistic ecology. SONQO thus emphasizes a holistic approach.
